11/18/2008 - St. Paul, MN (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Minnesota Wild called up goaltender Nolan Schaefer from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Houston Aeros, on Tuesday after Wild goalie Josh Harding did not participate in the team's pre- game skate with a lower body strain.

The 28-year-old Schaefer is 5-5-0 with a 2.36 goals-against-average and a .908 save percentage in 10 games with the Aeros this season. The 6-foot-2, 207- pound goalie appeared in seven NHL games for San Jose in 2005-06, posting a 5-1 record with a 1.88 GAA, .920 save percentage and one shutout en route to becoming first goalie in Sharks history to open a career on a five-game winning streak.

Schaefer was signed by the Wild as a free agent in July of 2007.
